A Warm September Day...

A perfect setting for a gorgeous, romantic evening celebrating the love of Malik and Almas. The sun slowly setting behind the bay, with the bride and groom saying their "I do" vows in the foreground. Family and couples' portraits during blue hour while the sky was just the right shade of purple. A challenging job for me, as light was rapidly reducing, but the photos came out great — even if I had to hold my camera extra steady — and hold my breath every time!

This wedding had everything, minus the "getting ready" photos. Although the couple were not actively looking for these photos, we still got a few posed ones. Following this, their private vows, without seeing one another, holding each other only by the fingertips from around a wall. I felt honored to be their only witness. After the ceremony, speeches were given and a delicious meal was served, making sure everyone was energized for the deck dance party that followed.

The dance party competed with the sunset ceremony as the highlight. Some absolute theatrics were on display on the dance floor and it was a treat to witness. If I could come back to any wedding's dance floor over and over again, this would probably be the one!
